Welcome to my (other) blog. You will find many links from free art tutorials ,art instruction, tips and links. And if I am brave enough some of my own art work. My companion blog G.R.I.T.S. Journey of Southern Ladies will not be posting art blogs. (Well, maybe a few.) I do review these blogs and web sites before I post. But please , check them out before your child uses them. (Some of them do include nude drawings ) I am also including some sites that show works that I like. And will include all sorts of goodies. Hope you enjoy and may your own artwork be joyful and done for the glory of God !

This would be a great way to get the creative juices flowing. ( And would make a much enjoyed painting to share with someone as a gift ! )
The Young and the Artistic: How to draw birds.: Fall is a special time to observe and draw our feathered friends. John Muir Laws' book , How to Draw Birds is an excellent book to show...
Pass the doodle is a wonderful way for a group of peaple to bond and enjoy each others company. Just provide each artist with a sheet of drawing paper and plenty of colorful markers , pencils and pens. (and a timer ) Each person draws a doodle on their sheet and after three minuets are up , pass the paper to the person on the left. (And cut those cell phones off !!!)
What artist does not like to be surrounded by color while they create ! During a "sisters" doodle session, my youngest sister's craft room provided five girls with bright color, plenty of light, tons of art supplies and goodies to eat and drink.

"Sail Away" was one of my favorite oil seascapes. It was sold several years ago. .I need to get busy and start some new paintings, but I will try to use the water soluable oils. Haven't tried using them yet, hope I can get the same effect using them
