Welcome to my (other) blog. You will find many links from free art tutorials ,art instruction, tips and links. And if I am brave enough some of my own art work. My companion blog G.R.I.T.S. Journey of Southern Ladies will not be posting art blogs. (Well, maybe a few.) I do review these blogs and web sites before I post. But please , check them out before your child uses them. (Some of them do include nude drawings ) I am also including some sites that show works that I like. And will include all sorts of goodies. Hope you enjoy and may your own artwork be joyful and done for the glory of God !

Drawing for Young Children by Horace Grant

Comment from art Mawmaw:

Google books has a large selection of public domain art book downloads. Here are a few of the
suggested drawing exercises. Not only is this book interesting, the samples give an overview of life in the 1800s. Try out some of these sketches in your sketchbook !!
Have a great day.  And have tons of fun !!!!

Old Southern Apples

A neighbor shared some of his wonderful old variety apples. They had SO much yummy flavor !

Big Hair at The Fair !!!

Yep...admit it....most of us Baby Boomers had BIG HAIR at one time or the other ! This photo of my Mom and sister is one of my favorites. Thanks to many inventive apps on the web, it is fairly easy to send loved ones special  Birthday greetings .

Moon Light Sail

Laurel Burch story

Very inspiring artist's story. I have seen her work for years, but never knew she lived with a chronic bone condition. Love her paintings and designs !

"I haven't been blogging much lately...you probably have figured out that I have caught the "pinning bug".
But, here is a nice Van Gogh booklet to down load for your children. Check out the web site for more brilliant teaching ideas. The work of art above is by a talented third grader."
